GTA 6 Odds: Character Betting

GTA 6 Odds

26 years have passed since Rockstar Games released the first Grand Theft Auto and people are still hungry for more. When Grand Theft Auto V was released in 2013, it sold the second-most copies of any video game of all time. A Tweet from Rockstar Games confirmed that GTA 6 is coming, but there was no trailer and no release date.

However, last September there was a leak of over 90 clips of early game footage. Now we have a rough idea of what to expect from the newest iteration of the series, including the setting, which is more than likely to be Vice City—GTA’s fictional version of Miami—as you can see a “Vice City Metro” train in one of the leaked clips. Action scenes showed the protagonists robbing a fast-food joint and gas station.

ENTERTAINMENT BETTING

People are eager to speculate on the characters and some mega fans have started rumours. We know there is one male and one female protagonist that have a Bonnie and Clyde dynamic, but nothing beyond that. The uncertainty is torture for some, but it allows Bodog to put forward some fun markets with our entertainment betting.

One of the best parts of the GTA series is the celebrity voice actors included. Ray Liotta was excellent as the voice behind the playable protagonist Thomas “Tommy” Vercetti in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, and Samuel L. Jackson played Officer Frank Tenpenny in San Andreas. We have a betting market on who will be an official character in GTA 6, with 27 options on the Grand Theft Auto odds board. We’ll look at the top six.

50 Cent

GTA 6 Odds: +255

American rapper Curtis Jackson, better known as “50 Cent”, was huge in the aughts and peaked with the release of his album Get Rich or Die Trying. 20 years later, he’s about to go on what he claims to be his last tour, a mega international saga called the Final Lap, with Busta Rhymes and Jeremih.

Rumours were swirling around 50 Cent’s connection with GTA 6 when he posted on Instagram and Twitter that he was working on something bigger than Power, which was a show he produced in 2014. He uploaded a picture of the words “Vice City” in neon lights, which got the GTA crowd fired up. Since then, he retracted, saying that he’s actually working on a new TV series called Vice City.

With 50 Cent’s strong connection to urban pop culture and music, he’d be perfect for a GTA character, and people are still holding out hope that he is actually working with Rockstar Games.

Eminem

GTA 6 Odds: +550

Marshall Mathers, known as Eminem, was on the top of the world between 1999 and 2002 when he released three back-to-back studio albums (The Slim Shady, The Marshall Mathers LP, and The Eminem Show) all of which won Grammy Awards for Best Rap Album. He went on hiatus in 2005 and then came back in 2009 with the album Relapse.

There have been a lot of connections between Eminem and Grand Theft Auto over the years. Rockstar Games was approached with an offer to produce a Grand Theft Auto movie that would have starred Eminem shortly after the release of GTA 3. The director poised for the project was Tony Scott, the director of Top Gun. Eminem’s music is included in previous GTA games. In Grand Theft Auto V, Dr. Dre created new music specifically for the game and that included the song “Gospel” which features Eminem. The song is now available on streaming platforms.

Logan Paul

GTA 6 Odds: +2200

American social medial personality, Logan Paul has been in the limelight since roughly 2015 when his Vine videos took off. He built on that by taking his talents to YouTube, Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. Beyond his extensive social media presence, he’s dabbled in pro wrestling (signed with WWE part time), podcasting (Impaulsive since 2018), boxing, acting and music. He won two Teen Choice Awards in 2017 in the categories of Male Web Star and Comedy Web Star.

Paul is an excellent candidate for GTA betting, as he’s already had a playable video game character based on him. The realistic wrestling simulation game, WWW 2K22, brought in Paul to become a player on the “Extra” roster. Select him as a player, and you’ll see him introduced as “the social media phenomenon… from Cleveland, Ohio, weighing in at 185 pounds.” Paul is sporting a flashy yellow and black wrestling suit for his entrance.

Jake Paul

GTA 6 Odds: +2200

Logan Paul’s younger brother Jake followed the same path, rising to fame through successful Vines before moving to YouTube. From there, he launched an acting career through the Disney series Bizaardvark where he played the role of Dirk Mann. He has since enjoyed a successful boxing career that includes victories over Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley (twice), Ben Askren and Nate Robinson.

Like his older brother, Jake is also portrayed as a video game character. In 2023, Rush Royale—a downloadable tower defense game—announced that they were collaborating with Jake “The Problem Child” Paul to make him available as a “hero” in the game. For two months (until the end of July), his character can be unlocked and upgraded for the “Champion Rumble” event. The social media phenom-turned boxer has special moves in the game that include a “super hit” and “hype.” With his wide-reaching presence in modern pop culture, he’d be a natural fit for Grand Theft Auto.

Drake

GTA 6 Odds: +2200

Aubrey “Drake” Graham, Toronto’s four-time Grammy-winning hip hop artist, has been wildly successful since leaving the show “Degrassi: The Next Generation” to focus on his music career. With just his third mixtape (So Far Gone) he gained traction and was nominated for two Grammy Awards for the album’s lead single, “Best I Ever Had.”

Fast forward 14 years and Drake is now embarking on his 11th tour that’ll start in Memphis and finish in Toronto. In addition to creating award-winning music, he’s had numerous romantic relationships (Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna) that have intensified his fame.

Drake’s music has been included in video games, so having a character in GTA wouldn’t be a stretch. “Over” from the Thank Me Later album was on NBA 2K11, while “Started From The Bottom” from the Nothing Was the Same album was included in FIFA 14 and NBA 2K14. At the Electronic Arts E3 expo, he introduced a new FIFA 14 game to the public.

DJ Khaled

GTA 6 Odds: +2200

The final pick within the +2200 range of GTA betting is the DJ/rapper/record executive/record producer hype man Khaled Mohamed Khaled, aka DJ Khaled. Khaled started his career as a radio host and DJ in Florida as he tried to break into the hip hop industry. He finally got a massive breakthrough when he collaborated with Fat Joe, Birdman, TI Rick Ross, Akon and Lil Wayne for the song “We Takin’ Over.” Khaled, who’s mostly known for his compilation work, used that winning formula to become the massive force he is in the music industry. Even his most recent album called Father of Asahd released a single (“Top Off”) that features Jay-Z, Beyonce and Future.

In addition to being a music mogul, DJ Khaled has starred in his own video game before. In “Secure The Bag: DJ Khaled and the Time-Travelling Jet Ski”, his character goes back in time and has to dodge hazards like “Veloci-rappers” and DJ lizards as he navigates through a prehistoric alternate reality version of Miami.
